About the Aventador
The Lamborghini Aventador is the line latest mid-mounted, naturally aspirated v12 supercar dating back to the Miura.
Lamborghini has announced that the replacement for the Aventador will stray from this tried-and-true setup in favour of more modern technology (most likely a hybrid powertrain.) It will be the end of the era.
The Aventador is sold alongside the Huracán but is a more track-focused car with extra cylinders and push-rod, actively dampened suspension.
Unlike the Huracán, the Aventador was not offered as rear-wheel-drive (RWD) because it would be too reliant on traction control which would ruin the driving experience.
The Aventador was replaced in the lineup by the Revuelto, a hybrid supercar that also features a V12.
