The Lamborghini Islero was last remnant of the original GT car Ferruccio envisioned when he started Lamborghini.
About the Islero
The car Ferruccio Lamborghini imagined when he drove his Ferrari was a more comfortable but still sporty car he could drive around Italy with his loved ones.
It turned out what people wanted from Lamborghini was innovative and beautiful supercars. The mid-engine Lamborghini Miura was the first commercially successful model Lamborghini made. But Lamborghini would continue to try to make front engine, 2+2 GT cars like the Islero for another decade.
The Islero was the successor to the Lamborghini 400GT and debuted alongside the Lamborghini Espada.
