About the Urus
The Urus is the very practical, yet very fast SUV made by Lamborghini today. The Urus is the second SUV Lamborghini has ever made, the first being the LM002, but the body type is about the only thing the two trucks have in common.
The Lamborghini SUV is capable of delivering the kids to soccer practice and giving them a thrill on the way with the crazy acceleration from the power of the twin-turbo V8 going to all four wheels.
The Urus is the first Lamborghini ever to have a turbocharger, let alone two. Lamborghini typically makes naturally aspirated engines to maintain precise and quick throttle response.
The Urus is based on Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform, so has a lot in common with the Audi lineup and the Porsche Macan.

Models
Lamborghini Urus
The original Urus was sold between 2018 to 2022 and featured a twin-turbo V8 it shared with the Audi RS Q8 and Porsche that outputted 641 hp.
Lamborghini Urus S
The Lamborghini Urus S is a mid-run update to the original Urus for the 2023 model year. It’s twin-turbo V8 creates more horsepower, 657 hp. It is the more practical version of the Urus, sold alongside the speed-oriented Urus Performante.
Urus Performante
The Urus Performante is the first Lamborghini SUV with a performance oriented variant. It was available starting in 2023. It sped 104 lbs and makes the same 657 hp of the Urus, which rockets the SUV to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds.

The Urus is the only turbocharged Lamborghini.
The Urus is the first and only vehicle Lamborghini has sold with a turbocharged engine. Lamborghini does not like using turbocharger systems in their cars because of the reduced throttle response and dampened exhaust note. But the SUV required more low-end torque than the typical Lambo, so they made an exception.

The Urus so expensive because of the prestige of the Lamborghini brand, plus being a large SUV with performance parts.
The Lamborghini Urus is often criticized for being too expensive when compared to luxury SUVs from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and Land Rover. The price of the Urus is typically 2-3 times more.
But the Urus is priced in line with other ultra-luxury SUVs like the Aston Martin DBX, Bentley Bentayga, and the upcoming Ferrari Purosangue.
