The Lamborghini Silhouette is a distinctively styled 2-door, 2-seat sports car produced from 1976 to 1979.

Discover how Lamborghini’s first targa top, the Silhouette, paved the way for a more angular and modern design.

The Silhouette was powered by a V8 engine. This mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle featured a removable roof. The Silhouette was Lamborghini’s first model with a targa top.

Based on the Lamborghini Urraco, the Silhouette was designed by Carrozzeria Bertone. The design had more angular styling that resembled the Countach, the supercar that was a breakout success and was sold alongside the Silhouette.

Despite its striking design and innovative features, only 53 units were produced. The Silhouette was succeeded by the Lamborghini Jalpa, which shared a similar appearance but achieved greater commercial success.
